The Masada Women's Defense Club is a free monthly educational gathering focused on firearm safety, personal defense, situational awareness, and practical knowledge. While created with women in mind, everyone is welcome to attend, learn, ask questions, and participate in a relaxed, supportive environment.
No experience is required, and you do not need to own a firearm. This club is about learning, community, confidence, and preparedness - not performance.

MEET Keren
Keren Sanderony Hensley is the founder and lead instructor of Masada Defense Training. She brings a calm, safety-first approach to firearms education, focused on building confidence, awareness, and real-world skills in a supportive environment.
Her goal is to create a place where people feel comfortable learning, asking questions, and developing skills at their own pace - without pressure or intimidation.
Keren is a former Israeli Defense Forces soldier and a certified firearms instructor with over 15 years of training experience in the United States. She has trained military personnel, law enforcement, and civilian trainees, and applies the same professional standards to every individual she teaches.​

Q: Do I need to own a firearm to participate? No. Owning a firearm is not required for many classes or club activities. Training options will be discussed based on the specific program. Q: Who can train with Masada Defense Training? Training is open to adults from all backgrounds. We welcome trainees from North Carolina and other states, as long as they meet age and legal requirements. Q: Where do trainings take place? Training locations vary based on the class, group size, weather, and availability. Sessions may be held at local indoor or outdoor ranges. Q: Do you offer private or one-on-one training? Yes. Private one-on-one training is available and tailored to the trainee’s experience level, goals, and comfort. Q: What type of training do you offer? Masada Defense Training focuses on firearm safety, fundamentals, defensive skills, situational awareness, and confidence-building through structured instruction.     Q: Do you offer North Carolina Concealed Carry (CCH) classes? Masada Defense Training is an active member of the North Carolina Concealed Carry Instructor Association (NCCCIA). While concealed carry courses may not always be available directly through Masada Defense Training, we work closely with certified instructors in the local area. If you are looking to take a North Carolina Concealed Carry class, we are happy to help connect you with a qualified instructor. Q: Do you provide certificates after training? Yes. Trainees who successfully complete a training course receive a Masada Defense Training certificate of completion. NRA courses include official NRA certificates when applicable. Q: Do you offer NRA-certified classes? Yes. NRA Basic Pistol and NRA Basic Rifle courses are offered when scheduled in advance and include official NRA materials and certification. Q: Is the Masada Women’s Defense Club free? Yes. The Masada Women’s Defense Club is a free monthly gathering focused on education, confidence, and community. Q: How often does the Women’s Defense Club meet? The club currently meets once per month. Additional meetings may be added in the future. Q: Do I need to bring a firearm to the Women’s Defense Club?
