Masada Defense Training offers a growing selection of firearm training programs focused on safety, confidence, and practical skills. Additional programs will be added as the training schedule expands.
Firearm Safety & Defensive Training
This training focuses on safe firearm handling, basic defensive skills, and building confidence from the ground up. Trainees learn how to handle a firearm responsibly, understand safety rules, and develop awareness and decision-making skills in a supportive and respectful environment. This program is well suited for those who are new to firearms or returning after time away.
Fundamentals & Skill Development Training
This training is designed for trainees who want to improve their skills step by step. The focus is on accuracy, control, consistency, and safe firearm operation. Trainees work on fundamentals at a comfortable pace, with clear instruction and practical guidance that helps them feel more confident and capable during live-fire training.
Private 1-on-1
Firearm Training
Private training offers personalized instruction based on individual goals, experience, and comfort level. Sessions are tailored to the trainee’s needs, allowing for focused learning, flexible pacing, and direct feedback. This option is ideal for trainees who prefer individual attention or want customized training support.
Masada Women’s Defense Club
A free, welcoming women’s firearms and defense club.
No pressure. No judgment. Just support, safety, and confidence.
The Masada Women’s Defense Club is a free monthly gathering designed for women who want to feel more confident around firearms, learn practical personal defense concepts, and ask questions in a relaxed, supportive environment.
No experience is required. You do not need to own a firearm. This club is about learning, community, and empowerment - not performance.

MEET Keren
Keren Sanderony Hensley is the founder and lead instructor of Masada Defense Training. She brings a calm, safety-first approach to firearms education, focused on building confidence, awareness, and real-world skills in a supportive environment.
Her goal is to create a place where people feel comfortable learning, asking questions, and developing skills at their own pace - without pressure or intimidation.
Keren is a former Israeli Defense Forces soldier and a certified firearms instructor with over 15 years of training experience in the United States. She currently trains military personnel, law enforcement, and civilian trainees, and applies the same professional standards to every individual she teaches.​
Her instruction emphasizes responsible firearm handling, situational awareness, and decision-making under real-life conditions.

Training locations vary based on the class, group size, weather, and availability. Sessions may be held at local indoor or outdoor ranges. Q: Do you offer private or one-on-one training? Yes. Masada Defense Training is an active member of the North Carolina Concealed Carry Instructor Association (NCCCIA). While concealed carry courses may not always be available directly through Masada Defense Training, we work closely with certified instructors in the local area. If you are looking to take a North Carolina Concealed Carry class, we are happy to help connect you with a qualified instructor. Q: Do you provide certificates after training? Yes. Trainees who successfully complete a training course receive a Masada Defense Training certificate of completion. NRA courses include official NRA certificates when applicable. Q: Do you offer NRA-certified classes? Yes. NRA Basic Pistol and NRA Basic Rifle courses are offered when scheduled in advance and include official NRA materials and certification.
